Make Your Email Sparkle with a Signature

Do your emails have a signature at the bottom?  If not, they can and it's really easy (and fun) to do!  Follow along and in 5 minutes you can have your very own email signature sprucing up your email.

  1. Open your email and click on the settings cog on the right.

  2. The click "Settings".
  3. Under the "General" tab scroll down until you find the Signature section.

  4. Click on the radial button next to the signature editing box and add the information you desire.  At minimum consider adding your name, title, room number, and phone number.

  5. Check the box that says "Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it" if you want your signature to not have two dashes (--) in front of it and for it to appear directly below your text but ABOVE any text in an email to which you are replying.
  6. If you want to add a picture of something you can do so by clicking on the "Insert Image" button.

  7. Click the "Upload" tab and then click the "Select a file from your computer" button.

  8. Browse to the location of where you have the image you wish to use, select it, and click the "Open" button.  The image will be inserted into the signature in it's original size.

  9. You can change the size of the image by clicking on it and choosing the size or click on "Remove" to remove it (Small - Medium - Large - Original Size - Remove).

You can choose a photo of yourself, your building, logo, your favorite college logo (Go Green!), etc.
